Snuff:
"A type of smokeless tobacco. There are several types, used in different ways, but traditionally it
means dry nasal snuff, which is inhaled or "snuffed" through the nose". Apart from flavors, dry snuff also comes in a range of texture and moistness, from very fine to coarse, and very dry to very moist.

Making Beer Today!

Posted by NicotineRush on August 15, 2009 under Home Brewing

Getting low so it’s time to make another 5 gallons before I run out. Only have 1 keg left in the refrigerator. This beer is an American IPA. Extract version. 9#’s of light extract. 1.5 #’s of Crystal malt (15L). 1.5 oz Magnum pellets for bittering and a couple of ounces of Cascade for flavor and aroma.

We have a hurricane headed our way so I thought I better get this taken care of today.

Any of my snuff brothers brew? Add your comments below.

Summer is here!

Posted by NicotineRush on June 21, 2009 under Home Brewing

God, it’s hot! It was 101 on my porch yesterday and the humidity was about 2 million percent! The ‘dog days of summer’ have arrived. Good thing the beer fridge is still functioning as it’s on the porch. Speaking of beer, my first 2 home brews are in their kegs and chillin in the beer fridge! Guess I haven’t lost the touch as the first homebrew I’ve made in 18 years is PRETTY DAMN GOOD! I haven’t tried the other yet, but looking forward to it.

Homebrew Equipment

Posted by Nicotine Rush on April 22, 2009 under Home Brewing

Well, a bunch of my new homebrew equipment has arrived and I can’t wait to get started again. It looks like I’ll get my first batch going this weekend.

This is part of my kegging system. Much easier than bottling.

Some ingredients and miscellaneous equipment. The seedlings in the tray in the background are my tobacco seedlings. They are doing great! They are definitely ready to go into the ground. Snuff from scratch soon!

Coopers Malt extract.

Making Beer

Posted by Nicotine Rush on April 17, 2009 under Home Brewing

About 20 years ago I had a mail order/retail business selling home beer and wine making supplies. At that time, most people had no idea you could actually make great beer at home.  Many of the current micro breweries in the Orlando/Mid Florida area got their start making beer at home from the supplies they got from me.  About 4 years into it, someone made me an offer that I couldn’t pass on, so I sold the business and have not brewed since.

Well, the bug has struck again, and I’ve ordered all the equipment and supplies needed to start brewing again. Everything is due here soon and I can’t wait to get started. Once I have everything here, I’ll post pictures of all the new equipment.
